Petra Wilkinson
It was the privilege of my live to have been Petra’s husband, friend, lover, life partner, soul mate, and so much more. I will miss her more than words could ever express.
My beloved Petra was the most caring, intuitive, and most sensitive person that I have ever known. She aspired to lift the spirits of everyone she came in contact with and saw to good in everyone. She empathized with those with problems and tried with all her abilities to help and comfort them.
From our home in Evergreen, Colorado, Petra expressed herself as an artist and created Enchanted Mercantile, a WEB based business that provided graphic art resources and images to scrape bookers and artists. Her business held so much promise and clearly showed off her amazing talents.
Petra was also involved with animal adoptions and was the volunteer web-mistress for “adopt a friend for life” in Michigan. Her dedication, caring, and enthusiasm for the cause were highly recognized and very much appreciated.
Over the past year and a half, Petra faced many health challenges. She fought a battle with cervical cancer complicated by renal kidney failure and beet the odds! In August of this year she was cancer free! Unfortunitely Petra could not overcome the effects of the treatment and after a courageous battle she passed from us. She never gave up the fight, and up until her passing she believed with all her heart, mind and soul that she would be well again.
I will always carry her in my heart. As I move on with my life I will continue to celebrate Petra’s time on earth, love for life, and her amazing accomplishments – and try not to concentrate on her passing. She is in a better place, free from pain, and with those that love her. I know in my heart that she will always watch over me and all those she loved until we eventually join her in her peace.
